Premier Bank PLC proudly marked its 26th Anniversary today, Sunday, October 26, 2025, celebrating a remarkable journey under the theme “Banking for Greater Good.”

The event was inaugurated by Dr Arifur Rahman, chairman of the board of directors, at the bank’s head office in Banani, Dhaka.

Among the other members of the board of directors present were: independent director & chairman of the audit committee Md Forkan Hossain; independent director & chairman of the executive committee Syed Faridul Islam; independent director & chairman of the risk management committee Md Sazzad Hossain; independent director Professor Sheikh Morshed Jahan; and independent director & chairman of Premier Bank Securities Limited M Nurul Alam.

Representing the bank’s management committee were managing director & CEO Mohammad Abu Jafar; deputy managing director Sayed Abul Hashem; DMD & chief credit officer Mohammad Al-Amin; and DMD & head of retail banking division SM Wali Ul Morshed.

This anniversary signifies not just the passage of time, but the dawn of a new era of growth and transformation, driven by the new leadership’s vision, dedication, and forward-thinking approach.

Together, they are laying the foundation for a stronger, brighter Premier Bank—one that stands tall with integrity, innovation, and purpose.

In his inaugural speech, Arifur Rahman said: “Let’s unite as one proud Premier family and make this celebration truly meaningful! I also thank our customers, patrons, regulatory bodies, media partners, and well-wishers for their relentless and continuous support across the journey.”
